Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. | ACTIVITY THERAPY | ACTIVITY THERAPIST – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT: Possesses a degree in Recreational, Occupational, Music, Art or Dance Therapy. Prior experience with inpatient psychiatric population preferred. Ability to assess the age specific needs for all patients and the capability to work with adolescents and adults. CPR certification required.

| COSTA MESA PHP | Earn up to $5,000.00 for referring a friend for the Therapist position! When you refer a friend for the Therapist position, you will receive a cash award of $1,250.00 if your referral stays at CHCM for one month. You will receive another cash award of $1,250.00 if your referral stays at CHCM for 6 months; and you receive a cash award of $2,500.00 if your referral stays at CHCM for one year! The referral bonus shall be payable if both employees are employed by the hospital on the designated payment dates and are actively working each month preceding the payment dates.

THERAPIST – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT: Must have an intern number registered with the Board of Behavioral Services or a Psych. Assistant number registered with the Board of Psychology or must be a licensed MFT, Social Worker, Professional Clinical Counselor or Psychologist. Prefer 2 years of clinical experience working with seriously mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled and/or substance abuse clients. Effective written and verbal communication in English. Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis, terminology, and medical record charting basics. Good group facilitation skills and experience. Must complete CPR and MAB requirements within 90 days of hire. $29.50 – 42.25 |
| LABORATORY | LAB ASSISTANT – PER DIEM, DAY (EARLY AM) SHIFT: Must have basic knowledge of biomedical science for the performance of pre-testing preparations in all laboratory areas. Must be able to type and operate basic office equipment and be familiar with computer operation. A familiarity with the principles of basic laboratory equipment used in pre-testing is preferred. Must maintain a high degree of accuracy. CA Phlebotomy certificate or proof of submission of all requirements to CDHS is mandatory. BCLS required within 90 days. Six months experience in acute care facility preferred.

RN HOUSE SUPERVISOR – PER DIEM, NOC SHIFT: Must have current, valid State of California R.N. License, current CPR and ACLS. Bachelor’s degree preferred, must have two years of progressive proven clinical experience in a Health Care setting. Must be thoroughly familiar with the development stages of Adolescent/Adults and the aging process of elderly adults. Management experience preferred, not necessarily limited to nursing. $50.46 – 77.68 (2) PSYCH STAFF RN – FULL-TIME, NOC SHIFT: Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California. Ability to assess the age specific needs of the patients per unit population. BCLS required. Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) is required within 90 days of hire. $44.00 – 52.00 |
| PROGRAM | DUAL DIAGNOSIS COUNSELOR – PART TIME / PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT: A minimum of current registration with California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals, CADC preferred. Primary duties are group facilitation and documentation in group progress notes.
$23.54 – 32.94 PROGRAM THERAPIST – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT: Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Registration with BBS preferred, inpatient psychiatric experience preferred. CPR and MAB certification required within 90 days of employment. Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as group facilitation skills. $25.89 – 36.23 Per Diem Rate (non-licensed): $29.50 Per Diem Rate (licensed): $33.50 |
| TRANSPORTATION | PROGRAM AIDE/DRIVER – PER DIEM SATURDAY, DAY SHIFT: Must have a valid CA Driver License with good DMV record; must have Class A or B with passenger endorsement driver license permit upon hire and obtain license before expiration of permit. Current DOT physical. CPR and MAB certification must be completed within 90 days from hire. Knowledge of area roads and freeways and an understanding of vehicle performance, maintenance and safety. Flexibility, reliability, professional image and guest relations skills. Motivated to be directly involved with patients. Must be able to assist and identify the needs of patients during transportation. Effective communication in English.

Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) is required within 90 days of hire. 32 Hours a pay period. $23.54 – 32.94 THERAPIST – PER DIEM, VARIED SHIFTS: Must be licensed (LMFT/LCSW) or an associate (AMFT/ACSW) in Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work, Clinical Counseling or Professional Psychology (Psy.D).
